In partnership with Mesa County Valley School District 51, Suicide Prevention Alliance provides training, resources and technical support to area high schools interested in implementing a peer-led, year-long mental health awareness campaign. This initiative supports student groups committed to preventing suicide in their schools.
This initiative aims to promote and showcase the caring community that exists in Mesa County. This initiative includes partnerships with businesses, organizations and associations committed to supporting prevention efforts. The Caring Community Initiative highlights community engagement and support, and helps raise awareness in an effort to prevent suicide.
Suicide Prevention Alliance will expand postvention support to better serve those impacted by suicide living in Mesa County. An evidenced-based model will be introduced and adopted, and services will be provided to those in need of support.
Suicide Prevention Alliance has developed a scholarship fund to help cover the costs of training to community members, and offer reduced rates to businesses and organizations. To make a tax deductible contribution, click here.
